About LoanGlass
LoanGlass (pka Mortgage-Rates.ai) was started in January 2025 by Stephane Dubois, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur who previously founded Xignite, a market data company now part of Quodd.
When looking for a mortgage, Stephane ran into the same frustrations you probably have with the lack of transparency around mortgage rates. As someone who'd spent years working with data, he thought collecting rates from hundreds of lenders could help answer basic questions like "Who has the best rates today?" or "Is my mortgage quote any good?" He felt existing solutions weren't doing a great job with this.
The first version of the platform launched in August 2025 and Stephane has been improving it since.
